i feel it all

YEaaaaaah flanz is for sure coming to visit! SO happy.

yesterday - amazing.
acting? we all cried. the girl onstage doing her monologue cried. it was from fences, and the monologue of rose at the end, where she realizes troy cheated on her and the woman is pregnant. we were doing 2 monologues in class to go over and critique. she did it a few times and then mike turned down the stage lights in the classroom so it was dim and told her to sit in a chair in the corner. and had a guy walk in and sit on the other side of the room with his back to her, as troy and not say a word. you could barely see her. she started, and then walked across the room to him and turned his face to her and shook him. and she was sobbing, tears streaming down her face. and we were all sharing that with her, silently crying in our seats.

it was the most intense session of my life.
we sat in silence once it was over and were completely awestruck.
mike's words? "this is what acting is. this is what it is all about. emotions. this was a breakthrough."
i'm so excited to have more of this.

also we had our opening dance last night and most of the girls on my hall decided to dress up.
our theme was crazy motherfuckers on lsd. so we show up, with completely teased ridiculous hair, tons of green/purple eyeshadow, black eyeliner smudged all over, tons of blush, and clothes like my purple tight zebra skirt and heels and pink shiny bootyshorts.

it was fabulous. we made an awesome entrance and everyone was dressed completely normally.
perfection.

then it started pouring outside, so a bunch of us ran out there and continued the dance out there and danced in circles and we couldn't really hear the music inside so we made our own beats and rhythms and danced as one big moving group. and sang songs and loved the rain and got completely soaked and boys took off their shirts and we just celebrated. it was beautiful. and once it stopped raining, but kept thundering, we went inside and danced 2 more hours and soaked everyone with our sopping bodies. and then went back to our hall and ordered chinese and watched "wait until dark" with audrey hepburn in my room and snuggled and went to bed @ 2. and my acrossthehall roommates madi and rachel slept in me/danica's room. and then we all woke up @ 12 today! what a fabulous, fabulous day.

i'm gonna relax and do laundry and then head to durham with some folks to see ADF tonight!

la la la love
